McCready Foundation
McCready hospital in scenic Crisfield on the Chesapeake Bay opened in 1923 and focuses on providing healthcare for Somerset County residents and their Lower Shore neighbors.
A waterside Emergency Room, open around-the-clock, sees patients in a matter of minutes. Seasoned healthcare professionals staff a bustling outpatient center, which provides basic medical care for many local residents.
Patients with breathing problems can see an experienced pulmonologist. An experienced team of rehabilitation therapists helps folks bounce back from an injury or surgery with one-on-one sessions, and a speech therapist also is available to work with children and adults.
Along with acute care, McCready is home to a 76-bed nursing and rehabilitation center. Starting in 2010, 30 assisted-living efficiency units will be available for rent as a residential eldercare option.
